2. DO NOT WHINE. - We don't tolerate it.
It distracts from the RP's going on and people find it generally annoying. If you have a problem, take it to PM's. If you
have a problem with a Moderator, talk to the hosts. If you have a problem with the hosts and their decisions, let them know
and they will take it to the appropriate WBS Admin.
3. RESPECT YOUR FELLOW RPERS! This means keeping rude or otherwise offensive OOC comments
to yourself. If you have a problem with another player, please take it up with that person in private. This also goes for
room staff and chat admin - do not disrespect them. Disrespecting room staff and players is a bannable offense. If you have
a problem that cannot be resolved, please talk to a moderator or the hostess... If they cannot resolve it then it will be
taken by the staff of the room to the appropriate WBS Admin.
4. ALL CANON CHARACTERS AND ALL SPECIALTY CHARACTERS MUST BE APPLIED FOR AND MUST BE PLAYED AT
LEAST ONCE PER WEEK!!!! There will be NO exceptions, unless you give us fair warning and a reasonable time
period for your absence. This is to keep story lines moving and to be fair to ALL of the players in the room.
5.The room is rated 16+ - There will be NO lewd conduct in the room. Anything beyond kissing WILL be taken
to PM's or IM's. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!
6. If you feel someone is posting something extremely offensive, feel free to ask them to take it to a private
room or private messages. However, we do promote free speech in this room as long as it goes with our room rating, so consider
yourself warned. If you are uncomfortable and wish to remain in the room, feel free to use the "ignore" feature aka 'Silencio'.
This goes for images within the room as well, although nothing with nipples or genitalia may be used. Use common sense - this
is not a sexually-oriented room. If your roleplay and images are used to elicit a sexual response, then this is not the room
for you.
7. If you have any type of conflict please contact a MOD.
That is what they are there for. If it cannot be resolved, please contact the one of the Hosts via PMs or their Messenger
names. Please do not contact the Admins of WBS. Respect the chain of command in the room, if a host can’t resolve it,
then THEY will take the issues to the appropriate people outside of the room… Disrespecting the chain
of command in the room can be a bannable offense depending on the situation. If a host is not in the room, and is not available,
then you may go to the Admins of WBS... As with everything it will be handled on a case by case basis.
8. DO NOT EXPECT PEOPLE TO RP WITH YOU. Also, DO NOT attempt to hound others
to RP. Asking for RP is alright, but if someone tells you no, respect that and LEAVE THEM ALONE. And
please do not consistently post in the room that you want to RP. If there's someone you'd like to RP with, send them a private
message. This is to cut down on OOC chatter that can distract from the RP going on in the room.
9. Pictures are restricted to 450x450 55k. NO pornographic images, NO nudity. Please be tasteful with the pictures.
This is an 16+ room we’re not promoting pornography of any sort here, so please people use your brains and KEEP
IT TASTEFUL.
10. If you use "nameplate" images in your tag-line, please keep them under 12 K and under 200 pixels by 200
pixels. If you are asked to take down a picture, please respect the wishes of other chatters and/or staff and do so. Just
because you do not find it offensive does not mean that others will agree. If someone else has been using a certain pic for
an established main character longer and you wish to use the same actor/actress/model/etc... Please ask the owner of that
character if they mind you using the same person... if they do mind, please respect their wishes and select a different person.
11. Please keep OOC to a minimum. We all know this can be difficult, but please try. It is disruptive to those
trying to RP. If the room is busy, please try to keep non-RP related OOC conversation to a minimum or take it to PM's.
12. Do not butt-in on established and ongoing scenes or story lines without asking or being invited, it is considered
rude and it may be disruptive to the direction the players wish to take their scene. And if they complain about your being
inconsiderate you could be banned.
13. THOU SHALT NOT KILL... other people's characters, unless you have their permission.
However, you will be held responsible for your character's actions. Any attempts to player kill without the permission of
the person behind the character will be NULL AND VOID. Repeated attempts at 'illegal' player killing is a
bannable offense.
14. We have very little patience with the "I'm bored" or "I suck" or "I'm being ignored" syndrome. These sort
of comments are not conducive to RP and will cause you to be put into people's ignore boxes. If you are asked to stop
such commenting by a member of the staff and you do not comply, you may be banned. You have been warned.
15. Anyone found attempting to troll for cyber-sex, whether IC or OOC, will be warned ONCE. If an attempt is
made after warning, the offender WILL BE BANNED. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! * Note there is a difference
between TROLLING for Cyber-sex and What might be a natural plot progression… Still, there will be NO LEWD CONDUCT
IN THE ROOM ITSELF. That’s what PMs are for.
16. We hope to make this a creative writing RP room.
This means we want our players to write in style consistent with actual writing. We also want you to try to post more
than one or two line posts. Think about what your writing before you hit that "Post" button. If you don't like to write, we
are willing to work with you and help you enjoy more paragraph oriented RP. The majority of players in this room write very
long posts and wish to have the same returned to them, and we ask that you respect that. You don't have to match them paragraph
for paragraph but please try to at least give them one good paragraph in response. We have permission from Robin of Hawthorne Manor to use her RPG Writing Page... ask any Mod or Host for the link to it, click the hotlinks in this
sentence, or go to our links page for the link... See lots of help! We are willing to work with you on this and we are more
than willing to help you and we also understand that there are times when it is hard to post, these things will all be taken
into consideration, each situation will be judged on a case by case basis.
17. The most important rule of all: HAVE FUN!
18. While it isn't mandatory, we do ask that you try to have
as much knowledge about the Harry Potter universe as it was created by J.K. Rowling as possible. This is to keep a continuity
through out the room. Most of the people playing here have at least read all the books and seen all of the movies.
We have some fabulous links to help you learn more, but we encourage you to have read all of the books that are out at current.
19. THESE RULES ARE NOT OPTIONAL AND WILL BE ENFORCED BY
THE ROOM STAFF!!!! This is so that we can continue to create a good RPing environment for the users and are for the
benefit of all. You don't have to agree with the rules, but you are expected to abide by them or risk having yourself banned
from the room.
